Cobb and Co Nine Mile Camping Grounds offers spacious, unpowered family camping across 50 acres of flat, grassy land, just south of Gympie and an easy drive north of Brisbane. Located just minutes from the Bruce Highway, the campground is quiet, peaceful and surrounded by open bushland beside Nine-Mile Creek. It’s an ideal setting for families wanting a safe, calm camping experience where children can play freely and parents can genuinely switch off.

One of the things families love most about camping at Cobb and Co is the space. There are no marked sites, no concrete slabs and no camping on top of your neighbours. Instead, guests are free to choose where to set up on arrival – whether that’s near the playgrounds, close to amenities, beside the billabong, or tucked away in a more secluded part of the grounds.

All camping at Cobb and Co is unpowered by design. This helps preserve the relaxed, low-key atmosphere that families value and encourages a slower, more connected pace of camping. Campfires are permitted in all camping areas (subject to conditions), with firewood available for purchase at reception or you’re welcome to bring your own. For safety reasons, chainsaws are not permitted onsite.

The campground is intentionally calm and family-focused. Numbers are capped during peak periods, including school holidays and long weekends, to ensure everyone continues to enjoy space, comfort and a peaceful environment. Minimum stays apply during peak times – two nights during school holidays and three nights over public holiday long weekends.

A range of facilities are available to support an easy and enjoyable stay. Please note that while guests have access to the campground’s amenities and shared spaces, some activities – including the multi-hole mini golf course – are offered as a paid extra.

Bookings must be made prior to arrival. Sites are not held or allocated in advance, allowing every family the flexibility to choose what suits them best on arrival. Dogs may be permitted onsite by prior approval only. Guests must contact us before booking to confirm eligibility. Certain dogs are not permitted due to safety considerations, the child-focused use of the site, insurance requirements, and applicable Queensland legislation.
