Q: Can I book online or on facebook?
A: Yes, we now take online bookings! Cobb & Co Nine Mile Camping Grounds – Cobb & Co Nine Mile Camping Grounds (newbook.cloud)

Q: What days/times is Cobb & Co open?
A: Open Monday 8am – 4pm.
CLOSED TUESDAYS & WEDNESDAYS (exclud school holidays).
Thursday 8am – 4pm
Friday 8am – 6pm
Saturday 8am – 4pm
Sunday 8am – 12pm
There are also some weeks of the year that we are closed Monday – Friday morning for private groups. Therefore, you MUST make a booking prior to arriving, in case we are closed.
Q: What time can I check in?
A: General camping – any time after 8am
Luxury tents – check prior to arriving as it depends when the accommodation is cleaned.
Q: Can I have a camp fire?
A: Yes you can – only knee high. (Unless our local area is under a fire ban). Use either existing fire rings, or a spot on the ground where others have had a fire. Do not burn rubbish in your fire there are blue bins provided. You should not leave a fire unattended and you must extinguish it before going to bed.
Q: Do you sell wood?
A: Yes, a 20kg bag. BYO kindling, or axe to chop wood.
Q: Can we use a chainsaw?
A: NO
Q: What is the latest I can check in?
A: Reception is open until 6pm Friday nights, all other days is 4pm excluding Sunday – if coming later please contact office and make arrangements for admittance to property. For other days please phone the office to arrange an arrival time.
Q: Do we get a choice of sites? Is my preferred site guaranteed?
A: You choose where you wish to camp upon arrival. We do not allocate or hold sites

Q: What age do you charge for children?
A: From 2 – 17 (infants under 2 are free).
Q: Do I have to pay a deposit?
A. Yes deposits are required upon booking.

Q: Do you have eftpos?
A: Yes we do – no cash out
Q: Do you have phone signal?
A: Telstra service, and Optus is now available, although sometimes patchy.
Q: Can I bring a large motorhome/bus/trailor?
A: We have no restrictions on the size of vehicles that can stay at Cobb & Co
Q: Do you cater for schoolies parties / bucks or hens nights / weddings/ 21st?
A: No. We do not cater for any functions and events such as weddings, reunions, bucks or hens, or adults birthday parties. We only cater to families and people who just want a quiet time away. We have strict regulations regarding any noise after 9pm.
Q: Can we play music or have a band come and play for us?
A: You can have music playing softly in your camp site, but not loudly as stated above we have strict noise regulations. No ampliphers or large speakers.
Q: Is drinking water available?
A: You need to fill your camper/caravan before you come – we have a drinking water tap that you can only fill a 20L container.
Q: Is there a “dump point” on site?
A: Yes, however you need to see reception before dumping. You will need to use septic safe chemicals in your toilets as bleach and other harsh chemicals will disrupt our system.
Q: Do you sell ice?
A: Yes, 5kg bags.
Q: Do you refill gas bottles?
A: Yes we can fill 9kg and 4kg gas bottles with a standard fitting.
Q: Are the showers HOT and free?
A: Yes we have hot water showers and yes they are free, the use of facilities is included in the fees.
Q: Can we use a generator?
A: Only for a short time during the day and off by 6pm. We ask that you don’t run generators all day as it is annoying to other campers, use them when needed to charge batteries etc and turn off by night. Ask staff onsite if you have any questions.
Q: Do you have toilets?
A: Yes we do. There are 2 blocks of flushing toilets. There is also portable pull flush toilets in various locations on the grounds for convenience.
Q: Can I bring pushbikes/canoes/boards?
A: Yes you can (we do not have any equipment for hire)
Q: Can I bring kids motorbikes/petrol remote control vehicles?
A: NO motorbikes. Pushbikes only.
Q: Can we fish in the creek?
A: Yes you can in the creek but only using rods (be aware some species in the creek are protected at certain times of the year – for example Mary River Cod). In the front small dams you can use nets for yabbis.
Q: We have friend already booked in – can we join them?
A: Yes you can, as long as we have not closed off the bookings
Q: Is there medical assistance available?
A: Yes Gympie hospital is only 17km away and the ambulance is aware of our address
Q: Can we purchase food on site?
A: We do not have any sort of cooked food. There is a coffee bar for takeaway coffee, iced drinks etc.
Q: Do you have any supplies if we run out of items?
A: Yes we have wood, ice, marshmallows, bread, milk, soft drinks and a small range of grocery and toiletry items.
Q: Is there a camp kitchen?
A: Yes we have two camp kitchens with a BBQ’s, gas burners and washing up sinks. There is NO power, microwaves or fridges in the camp kitchens.
Q: Do you sell alcohol?
A: No we don’t Gympie is 14kms from camp and Pomona is 17km from camp, both of which have bottle shops.
Q: Do you cater for disabled?
A: Yes we have a wheel chair accessible shower with a hand rail and also a toilet. Our property is flat so mobility is not an issue.
Q: Can we have visitors to our camp?
A: Yes you can – day visitor charge is $5 per person. They must check in at reception and get a visitor sticker for their car
Q: Do you have concrete slabs for caravans?
A: No we don’t. All camp spaces are open flat sites for a natural bush setting vibe. There are many suitable areas for caravans/motor homes.
Q: Is the billabong suitable for swimming?
A: Yes it is – you are welcome to bring your own boards or other floatation toys (we do not have any equipment for hire)
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: You will need to check with us. We allow dogs but some breeds are not permitted due to insurance restrictions. Confirm with us prior to booking. All dogs must be friendly, happy and sociable. Dogs that are permitted are $5 per dog per night.
At all times your dog must be on the lead. Children are not allowed to walk large dogs on their own. You must clean up after your dog. We have horses, chickens, other dogs and children running around all the time – if your dog is going to bark all the time then it also needs to stay home.
