Cobb and Co Nine Mile Camping Grounds is a family-friendly camping destination designed for fresh air, open space and time together.

Located just south of Gympie and an easy drive north of Brisbane along the Bruce Highway, Cobb and Co is a popular choice for families looking to escape the city without travelling too far. It’s camping as it should be — relaxed, welcoming and centred on shared experiences.

For more than 15 years, Sean and Katherine O’Hanlon and their family lovingly built Cobb and Co from the ground up. What began as a simple camping idea grew into a much-loved family camping and getaway destination. From the hand-built luxury tents and pirate ship playground to the standout multi-hole mini golf course, their personal touch is evident throughout the grounds.

Cobb and Co is intentionally calm and family focused. Wide open spaces, unpowered camping and a peaceful bush setting encourage connection rather than distraction. Rowdy or party-style camping has never been part of the culture here. Instead, families come for creek swims, campfires, shared meals and watching kids explore the outdoors safely.

Set on 50 lush acres beside the Six Mile Creek, the campground offers space to slow down and breathe. It’s a place people return to — not for noise or nightlife, but for memories made together.

In 2026, stewardship of Cobb and Co Nine Mile Camping Grounds passed to Queensland Conference and Camping Centres (QCCC), a Queensland-based not-for-profit with nearly 100 years’ experience operating outdoor education and camping venues across the state. After working together onsite for more than a year, the transition reflects a shared commitment to families, children and community.
